Dear roomies,
It’s kind of crazy that a short seven months ago we were all basically strangers to each other. Living in this apartment with you three has really been a blessing, and it breaks my heart to think that in just four months we’ll all be going our separate ways once again. I truly could not picture my second year of college being spent with anyone else.
I know it sounds cheesy but I really do not know where I would be without you all. You guys were the reason that I got through the hardest breakup I’ve ever been through, and if it wasn’t for your unconditional love and support I would probably still be trying to get back together with my ex. You showed me that I deserve better than anything he could have ever offered me. You made me a stronger and more driven person and you all pushed me to be the best that I can be.
We have shared experiences and adventures that I will go on to tell my children about. From parties in our apartment to Mexico or even turning a six hour power outage into a strange adventure, there isn’t anything that we can’t turn into a story that all of our friends want to hear about. Even if we’re just sitting in the kitchen making dinner there’s always a small chance that one of us might start a small fire. There really is never a boring moment in this apartment.
I want to thank you all for making sure that our apartment was so drama free and non-toxic. Every time I hear about people who are having roommate issues I thank my lucky stars that I have never had any problems with you guys except for a few dishes here and there. There was never anything that happened between us that we couldn’t fix with a conversation and some brownies.
I still look back and think how crazy it was that we all just kind of moved in together on a whim. I remember when we all first met up at the end of last year at Starbucks to see if we would be a good match and I was so nervous. I was scared that you guys were going to find out on the spot just how strange I really am. Moving in was terrifying too because I still knew nothing about you three and all I knew was my moms random roommate horror stories, and I didn’t want to have stories like that of my own. I never expected it to turn out to be one of the most fun years of my life.
I am going to miss you three so much next year, just thinking about it makes me want to cry a little bit. No roommates will ever compare to you three, and I would not want it any other way. I can’t wait to be living with you three crazy girls again senior year. Thank you for being the best strangers I ever could have asked for.
Love, Bailey
