Hello sis,
It's crazy to think you were my first friend all those years ago. I have been thinking a lot about our years together. From childhood fights to our first bar nights, we've had some good times. So before you go on with your day I have a few things I would like to tell you.
First thank you for being my biggest supporter. You've been there for me no matter the circumstance. Whether it was driving hours to my sporting events, or making me grilled cheese because I couldn't, you've always been my number one. You've stood with me rain or shine, through my rebel stage, and have been there for me when I wasn't there for you.
Thank you.
Thank you for always looking out for me. Sure, at the time I didn't like it when you told mom and dad what I did last night, or when you gave me advice I thought I didn't need... but it shaped me into the person I am today and now I couldn't be more grateful for it. Thank you for driving me around when I needed it, showing me the ropes in dealing with our parents, and having my back when I needed a helping hand.
Thank you.
Thank you for setting a path that was hard to live up to. I wont lie, it was stressful trying to following in your footsteps when I was younger. You made it so I had to work three times as hard, but you gave me goals and set standards that helped me become someone that our parents are proud of.
Thank you.
Thank you for being there was I was down. When I lacked confidence, after my first big breakup, you were the one I went to for help and you gave it, and provided everything you could. You've been with me through it all, even when we weren't together I knew you were just a phone call away.
Thank you.
As we have grown up together, going to the same middle school, same high school, and eventually the same college you have been more than an older, wiser sister. You've been a friend. I look up to you more then you could ever know, and am so proud to present you as my older sister.
I have loved watching you start to accomplish your dreams and look forward to continuing to watch you be someone I am constantly impressed by.
Thanks for being my best friend,
Your younger sibling
