Thank you for driving up to visit me. You are so selfless.

It isn’t a far drive, but it also isn’t super short. Thank you for accommodating my schedule, sacrificing a big chunk of time each week, and driving home late at night when I’m getting under the covers and laying down to go to bed. I’m lucky to have you.

You’re my favorite person to do nothing with.

I’m not even mad that half of our dates are watching Law and Order and The Office on Netflix. You are one of the most calming people I have ever met and you make my stress go away. I love spending time with you. It doesn’t matter what we do; I’m just glad to be with you.

Thank you for always supporting me in everything I do.

You care about my writing, my classes, my happiness, my performances, whatever project I’m working on at the moment, and everything else that I put my time and heart into. Thank you for listening and asking questions; it means the world to me that you care.

You’re pretty much a part of my family, and I adore that.

You hang out with my brother at my house while I’m at school; you enjoy spending time with my parents; you’re a sweetheart to my grandparents. Even my cats love you. It’s wonderful, and I notice it all.

The boys in my classes don’t make me laugh as hard as you do.

Those guys are nice and I enjoy being friends with them, but there isn’t anyone else like you. You make me happy, and you also make me laugh really, really hard.

Thank you for understanding me so well.

I’ll be honest: sometimes I even have trouble understanding me. You’ve taken the time to truly figure out why I think and feel the ways I do. Sometimes it’s complicated, but you’re always patient, compassionate, and comforting. I appreciate it infinitely.

You are so handsome.

So, so handsome. You make me go all heart-eyes.

Thank you for caring about my success.

I hate it when I have to do homework or read or study and it interferes with us hanging out, but thank you for putting my best interest first and wanting me to succeed. You always push me to do my best and believe that I will accomplish anything I set my mind to.

I miss you.

I miss you when I’m at school, and I’m always so happy to see you. I love you so much.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
