Dear Best Friend,
First of all, I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being there for me always, and listening to my problems sometimes more than you’d want. Thank you for liking sushi as much as I do, and wanting to get it for lunch almost as much as me. Thank you for being the person I can do completely nothing with and still have the best time. Thank you so much for the amazing friendship we’ve shared for the past few years.
It’s so hard to keep in touch sometimes, and we both know that. Whenever you’re busy, I’m not. Whenever I’m busy, you’re not. Our schedules are always conflicting, and we rarely have a free moment at the same time. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to hear about the hot guy in your class that you made eye contact with for a fraction of a second or the exam that you did really well on. I want to hear about it all- the big and small things.
You’d think that going to different schools would affect our friendship in a negative way, but it hasn't, and I couldn’t be happier. Every time we see each other over breaks it's almost like we were never separated in the first place. We still make jokes that only we understand and we seem to already have a knowledge of what is going on in the other person's life.
It’s crazy how much I miss you. I’m slightly (okay, extremely) jealous of your college friends because they get to be you every single day. But being apart has made our friendship stronger. I see you making memories as I am making mine, and I am so happy that we are still best friends, despite the distance.
You don't know every detail of my life anymore, and I may not know your latest gossip. But, with summer right around the corner, I am sure our days will be filled with catching-up. Even though we don't see each other every day, I just wanted to remind you how special you are to me. I hope you have an amazing rest of the semester. You better have good stories for me, because I have plenty for you!
Love always,
Your Bestie
