To the ever-so amazing Penn State CATA Bus System:
I just wanted to thank you for all that you've done for me throughout my time at Penn State. I don't know where I would be without you.
Thank you for letting me scream the "we are" chant at the top of my lungs on our way downtown my freshman year. Every freshman's dream is to scream and chant all the way to the party, and you make that dream come true every weekend.
You never fail to take me in when frats won't. When the party gets to be too crowded and I start to get tired, I can always count on you to save the day and drop me off at the Beaver Hill bus stop for some quick Canyon before bed.
I can always count on you to be reliable and escort me to my classes (even when it's snowing/sleeting/raining/hailing). There's no other way I would make it if you didn't drag my sorry ass to class every day, so I applaud you for that.
You're able to sweep me off my feet when my crush won't. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I know that you'll always be there to pick me up and take me where I need to go.
Thanks for reassuring me that gaining the freshman 15 is okay and making sure I don't have to exercise ever. There's a bus stop near almost every place I could possibly want to go on, so I praise you for "serving campus and downtown via Beaver/College Avenue."
You are my saving grace in the winter when my fracket doesn't cut it. On those freezing cold nights out when I'm walking home, instead of relying on my cheap four-year-old high school sweatshirt for warmth, I can count on you to take me in and squeeze me in with a bunch of other people. I get warm so quickly that it's almost like a miracle.
I get to make a new friend on the rides home at night. Being crammed up against the most talkative person on the bus once the party is over isn't always annoying. It's never too late to have a full-blown conversation with a stranger.
You are most definitely the unsung heroes of Penn State, so I commend you for your efforts, and thank you for all you do!
