Moving to a new place is always scary. There's a constant worry of whether or not you'll fit in at your new job, if you'll be horrendously homesick, and then there's the concern for whether or not your roommates will see life the same way you do.

I've had some bad luck with roommates when it came to meeting entirely new people in the past, so when I was accepted into the Disney College Program for this Fall - the excitement of moving to Disney World was somewhat filled by the nervousness of living with new people all over again.

I hope I'm not the only one out there who is a little nervous about living with and meeting new people - even though I'm really excited too! This is for my DCP peeps, I hope you can relate.

Hey Roomies,

First of all, I'm ridiculously excited to be living with such unbelievably rad Disney lovers. These five months are, from what I hear, going to be some of the most incredible times of our lives - and I can't wait to make memories with all of you.

That being said, I'm not perfect. I'll definitely get homesick. I might be cranky every once and awhile. I'll laugh way too loud and make everyone awkwardly stare at us in public. I'll more than likely dance around singing (badly), and well - my dancing isn't all that great either. For all of these flaws, I'm sorry.

After knowing all of you a short time, I already know that you are going to be awesome. Thank you for that. Thank you for nights full of crying and ice cream. Thank you for listening to me tell you how much I miss my family and my boyfriend back home. Thank you for laughing with me about the crazy things we do in public, and always being down to take bunches of selfies. Thank you for singing and dancing like complete psychos with me in the kitchen. Thank you for taking on this incredible experience with me, and for being the people I will always remember having the best months of my life with.

So, with a little over a month left, I promise you that this is going to be unbelievably amazing. I promise to always be there for you. I promise never to judge you. I promise that I'll always be down for Disney movie marathons. I promise to always share my ice cream. I promise to go on adventures every day, and to wake up each day knowing it's going to be better than the last. I promise that it's going to fly by. Most of all, though, I promise to be the best friend, roommate, and person I can possibly be.

We've got this, y'all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
