An Apology Letter to my Boyfriend

To my boyfriend:

We’ve been together for quite a while now and I realize that there are many things I need to apologize for, that I never do. So here it goes.

I’m sorry for…

Wearing comfortable clothes and never doing my makeup. I understand that I dress in leggings and tshirts most of the time, and I love wearing ponytails and never wake up early enough to do my makeup. This could be a deal breaker for you, but you seem to never care about me not dressing up.

Dressing up when you don’t want to. On the rare occasion that I do dress up, I know you feel obligated to dress up, as well. I promise you don’t have to and sometimes I just like to dress up and look nice!

Being extremely comfortable around you. I know sometimes I can be embarrassing and there are things I do that make you say “why would you do that?” It’s because I’m comfortable around you and feel like I can be my 100% true self with you.

Annoying you on purpose. You know that there are games I like to play, such as the “Why do you hate me?” game. I know you don’t hate me, I just love to mess around with you and drive you crazy. I guess I just know how to push all of your buttons just the right way.

Making you watch so many television shows. Okay, so this one is your fault for sitting down and watching shows I’m in the middle of. Either way, since we’ve been together you have started watching about 10 extra series, including Grey’s Anatomy and New Girl, and I know you never would’ve watched these shows if I hadn’t been watching them.

Making you adopt a dog. I know I had bugged you to get a dog since we were in the dorms and we weren’t even allowed to get a dog. But once we finally were able to, you finally gave in and we adopted a dog. Since we’ve adopted him we’ve both grown to love him and I know neither of us would trade him for the world.

This is my apology letter to you, my boyfriend. Thank you for loving me just the way I am. I know you don’t have to put up with my antics, but you do, anyways, and I truly appreciate it.
