American Horror Story Season 6

American Horror Story Season 6
Screen Rant

Ever since American Horror Story Season 5 ended, fans have been anxiously waiting for the new season to finally make it's debut on September 14th. The team at AHS did an amazing job making the series as secretive as possible. There were a few hints here and there, but overall, fans didn't even know if Evan Peters was going to be in it.

Since he was incredibly vague....

When September 14th rolled finally came this past Wednesday, I and many others were super excited and anxious for everything that could entail in this next series. When the season premiere started, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was surprised by the twist in the plot. The season started out like the beginning of a documentary. The couple is an interracial couple (shoutout to diversity) who moved to the boondocks of North Carolina. They moved out into the country because they thought it would be better for them, especially since the wife, Shelby Miller, had a miscarriage. The house that they moved into is just as creepy as anything. Shelby is perceived as crazy (what else is new, a female protagonist with trauma is perceived as crazy) because she keeps hearing and seeing things -- hearing odd noises and seeing shadows. Her husband, Matt Miller kept blowing it off until they got a little surprise, a skinned pig, on their front porch late one night. For all of her other instances, though, he kept telling himself that the trauma of the miscarriage was hitting her hard and kept blowing it off.

Waiting for something suspenseful to happen seemed to have taken forever. This first true clue to something weird happening in this new series is what seemed like a regular rainstorm was actually a rainstorm of teeth.

This first to many weird things happening in this TV series. Then came her almost being drowned to death in her big bathtub outside. What was the stranger part is that she saw people with pitchforks and ends of sticks with fire one them (like something you would see in colonial times). Of course, nobody believed her and everyone thought she was even more delirious. Her husband Matt put in security cameras for his own sanity and her own safety. He also asked his sister, Lee, to stay at the house while he was going off on a business trip. Lee didn't like Shelby and the feeling was incredibly mutual. Lee used to be a police officer until she was found popping pain medication on the job. To quote her, "I may have lost my gun but I kept my gun." Shelby felt a little bit safer with her around, but not by much with the mutual dislike towards one another. It wasn't until they felt like a house invasion was happening, is when they started to stop bickering with one another. Then they saw their TV was turned on in the basement, but that wasn't the strangest part.....

Anybody who is a true fan would've caught something that was happening on the TV. Does anybody remember the patient with the pig man fear?

And did anybody see that the pig man came on the TV? I nearly lost myself when I saw that. Props to AHS for always making the seasons interconnected. Are we finally going to see the Pigman and the trauma he caused that one guy? While Shelby Miller (Sarah Paulson)'s character manage to not make dumb decisions like going outside by herself and getting lost in the woods? AHS is such a great job because truly, anything can happen on that show. Until next time AHS, until next Wednesday.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
