The day America becomes a nation represented by a powerful woman will be yet another profound event within history.

However, it’s plain as day to see that Hillary Clinton should not be that woman.

It’s easy to believe that many people, mainly women, can be swept up in the idea of having a woman as the president. Such an occurrence could potentially establish huge strides and credibility toward the influence and strength among the female population. Woman will finally feel as though they have an equal voice against the male population, which woman have been fighting to gain for decades. But what many people fail to recognize is that we once had an unofficial woman president, and that woman, Eleanor Roosevelt, holds a strong reputation and standard proving that a woman has already influenced the white house and influenced America, and the future success of America is not lead by a woman like Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton is wrapped up in continuous scandals, lies and manipulations, and such a woman isn’t fit to run a country. She’s proven to be irresponsible and untrustworthy. Her actions pre-presidency clearly give the American people a glimpse into the type of president she will be. Her actions have only shown her heart lies within a selfish nature and not for the well-being of the American people.

When a woman comes to office that woman should hold high morals and standards, not only for herself but with her actions because those actions will represent the people of America. Leadership is more than simply leading a group of individuals. Leadership involves inherent abilities that establish a good leader from an extraordinary leader.

Eleanor Roosevelt represented the type of leader who was able to step up in stressful times of crisis. She took over the demanding job of President Franklin D. Roosevelt during his time of illness, all through a period when women battled to gain rights and equality. She established a clear vision by advocating for women’s rights, the rights and needs of the poor, minorities, the disadvantaged and all as the first lady of the United States. By doing so, her vision was shared throughout the country, as her sensitivity and love for others inevitably lead people to follow her causes. She stepped in and created change by not only protecting the presidential foundation of Franklin D. Roosevelt, but also establishing her own agenda to create change in the lives of those in need.

Eleanor Roosevelt stood by her morals and values by firmly holding on to what she believed in, regardless of public approval. She became a leader who influenced change and encouraged peace as she took full advantage of the power she possessed to make an everlasting difference in the world.

A woman like Eleanor Roosevelt stepped into the role as the president, showing the American people that women are strong enough to be influential leaders who can successfully run a country. So, how can the American people support a woman like Hillary who has repeatedly failed before even stepping foot into the shoes of the presidency? A woman who proves to have abandoned her morals for the desires of being named the president.

It’s safe to say that everyone is flawed in some way or another, however, this country is in desperate need of a positively, profound and influential leader, and that person should not be Hillary. The women within America have fought long and hard for our rights and our equality, and the American people should wait for an exceptional and moral woman to take the role and title as the first woman president of the United States of America. The American people deserve nothing less.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
