What's better than candy? Foreign candy, of course!

Japan Candy Mania

First things first: It should be common knowledge that Japanese candy is better than American candy. It's a fact and we all need to accept that. Sure, it's expensive, but it's completely worth it. Here are some of my personal favorite Japanese candies that you should all consider trying.

Super Lemon

I first bought this candy because I thought the bad was really hilarious. I mean, look at it:

That being said, those people on the wrapper aren't exaggerating. These things are seriously sour. So sour they damage your mouth if you eat more than three in a row. The thing that really makes these candies so good is the center. After you go through a minute of absolute sour torture, the sweet middle makes it all worth it. If anything, it makes the candy even better. They also make a Super Cola candy that has a fizzy center.

Apollo Chocolate

If you're a strawberry chocolate lover, it's time you took it to the next level. These candies are amazingly smooth and delicious. I'm not even ashamed to say that I can easily down a whole box of these in 5 minutes. The box is pretty small, but still. Speaking of the box, it's also super cute. Who doesn't love chocolate you can eat and impress all your followers on Instagram?

Pocky

Alright, you can't talk about Japanese snacks without mentioning pocky. All the cool kids have tried it, it's finally your time to impress the hip young folk with your delicious chocolate dipped biscuits. The benefit of pocky is there are multiple flavors. They have classic chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, green tea, and chocolate banana. When will America catch up?

Kit Kat

I know what you're thinking: Kit Kats? We totally have those in America. And while that is true, we only have one flavor of Kit Kat (chocolate). In Japan, they have over 200 flavors. It's really intense, I know. That it one of the main reasons why I want to visit Japan one day. That and Cat island, but that's beside the point. One of my favorites (and one of the easiest to find) is the green tea flavor. It's amazing (ignore the sickly green color of the Kit Kat).

Ramune Candy

This is Japan's soda candy. If you haven't had Japanese soda (Ramune), that;s your first problem. Buy yourself a bottle of it with these candies. They taste almost exactly like the soda, which is amazing on its own. You can also buy it in a cute little container that looks like one of the soda bottles. What more could you ask for?

Kasugai Gummies

These gummies are amazing! They have tons of flavors to choose from (thank you, Japan) so if you don't like one flavor, you have plenty more to try. They're not too sweet like some other candies, which I can appreciate. They're kind of like fruit snacks, but a little bit less intense.

Alright, that's all the reccomendation's I'm giving for now. What are you waiting for?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
