The bond between a father and daughter is unexplainable. As a young girl, I always looked up to my Dad, and now as a 20-year-old girl, I still look up to my Dad, but in different ways. He is my biggest fan and biggest supporter. He will always give me honest advice, even if I don't want it at that moment, but I needed to hear it. I am so lucky to have an incredible Dad and there are so many things I want to thank my Dad for.
Thank you for always being there for a hug. When I come home and get a hug from my Dad, all of my fears wash away. I feel safe in his arms and for those few moments everything feels right in the world.
Thank you for teaching me what qualities a good man should have. I will never settle for anything less than I deserve because you have shown me how I should be treated.
Thank you for having inside jokes with me that no one else can understand. They might be from five years ago and make no sense, but they are our jokes that only we know. This makes them special.
Thank you for having the same taste in food as me and for always pigging out together, with no judgments. I might have been trying to be healthy, but when you ask if you want to share a chocolate milkshake and fries I will never turn it down.
I will forever support your sport teams just because you support them. I never had to stress about which teams to support because your teams were automatically my teams.
You are the only person I don't mind doing chores with because somehow you make taking out the trash fun. We make it into a song and dance or turn it into a game. Instead of it being a boring task, you somehow make it into a great memory.
Thanks for spoiling me, within reason, and always putting a smile on my face. Thank you for letting me grow up and become my own person, but I will never stop being your little girl.
Love,
Your little girl
