Always Say 'I Love You,' It Is Important

Always Say 'I Love You,' It Is Important
Mya Brannan

I am a sucker for love. ALL things love. Love this. Love that. I love love.

I believe love is the strongest and most powerful trait someone can acquire, whether it's love for a someone or a something. I wish the topic of love wasn't such a hard subject for some people, I feel as if when people think about love, they just think about heartbreak, which, yes, it comes with that. But I also think that's a part of life and how we can grow into better humans.

We shouldn't be afraid to tell the people we love that we love them.

As we all say, life is too damn short so why not tell that guy or girl you love them, tell your parents and grandparents you love them, hell, even tell your pets you love them. I believe the world could be a better place if everyone were to show a little love from time to time because we all need to be shown affection every so often. A world without love is just boring and sad, and who wants to be boring and sad?

Some people aren't so big on saying how they feel and I get that. You don't always have to use your words to show how you feel towards people like I've always thought, "actions speak louder than words."

If you can't say it, show it. Show the world just how big you can love something or someone.

There are tons of ways to say you love someone or something besides saying the words "I love you." You just have to listen a little more carefully.

"I love the way your eyes look in the sun."

"I love the way you get so caught up in the books you read."

"I love our late night talks."

"Get home safely."

"Call me when you can."

"You're my favorite person."

"This reminded me of you."

"I'll always be rooting for you."

"Thought you would like this..."

Just always tell and show the people and things you love, that you love them.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
