The sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi at Florida State University are proud to present their annual fall philanthropy event, Sisters For Soldiers!
Sisters for Soldiers is an annual event put on by AOII, in which the sisters invite the community to collect donations and send letters to our troops. This year, they will be hosting a boot camp in Heritage Grove (Between AEPi and Phi Delt) on Wednesday Nov. 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, where fraternities and sororities will be competing against each other to determine who is "Alpha O Strong." There will be a relay race style obstacle course made up of five separate events. These events will include dizzy bat, crawling under ropes, Pie-ing a Pi, wheelbarrow races, and an inflatable obstacle course to finish. The winners of each will advance on to the next round and continue to run the obstacle course until there is an all fraternity and all sorority winner. Those winners will then race each other to determine an all philanthropy winner.
Sisters will be collecting letters/donations at the AOII house, 647 W. Pensacola St., and also tabling at Market Wednesday and on Landis, leading up to the event and then working with the SAM (Students for Americas Military) club to send them these collected items and letters to our much deserving troops.
If you would like to help AOII in their donation efforts, feel free to come by the house at any time with your donation. Here are some great donation items.
