The Republican National Convention was held in Cleveland, Ohio this week. While scandals were expected and expectations were low, especially after Melania's copyright speech, other crazy right-wing figures managed to lower the bar even further. Ted Cruz also tried to steal the spotlight from Trump which resulted in him getting boo'ed off stage and sustaining a hit to the ego no amount of smug can overcome. With all these incidents headlining the news, the acts of Roger Stone and Alex Jones were hardly mentioned.

To set the scene of what transpired, an independent media group known as "The Young Turks" or TYT for short, were in the middle of the live broadcast in a studio office they rented at the Republican convention. TYT is a massively progressive and liberal group so Jones decided to try and belittle the entire broadcast. He instead revealed his true character of himself and his party lowering further the bar of common human decency. First by interrupting TYT's live broadcast without permission but also by waving a t-shirt in plain view with "RAPE" and Bill Clinton's picture on it. While I am no fan of Bill or Hillary Clinton waving a t-shirt like that on a show without asking is childish. To see exactly what transpired watch this video from the TYT channel. It is very disrespectful to interrupt anyone's video or show, but to display such vulgarity live TV when you were not invited is pathetic. What kind of 42-year-old male does that? The barbaric, war hungry, Christian sharia law loving, fascist Alex Jones. A conservative radio host who makes his career by gay bashing and basically blaming every problem America has on either Atheist, black people, or Muslims. The guy is so insufferable he was kicked off a BBC network panel in less than nine minutes. Below is a political cartoon which is sadly an accurate portrayal of Alex Jones ideology.

The second guy to interrupt TYT's live broadcast was a man named Roger Stone, part of Donald Trumps campaign as his designated "hatchet man". Former consultant lobbyist group is known as "Black or Manafort" Roger Stone is known for ruining other candidates name at any means necessary. For instance, Stone was literally dumb enough to accuse Ted Cruz's father to having connections with Lee Harvey Oswald who killed John F. Kennedy. What blows my mind about Stone is that he has been caught lying multiple times and somehow he always manages to crawl back into the establishment right inner circle.

Yet with how bad mainstream media reporters are at their job, I guess seeing Stone is not all that surprising. Fox New's CEO is a known sexual deviant. So having a lying con man is not too much of a stretch. In fact, I would argue it brings the whole evil villain troupe into reality. The right-wing establishment does not seem to be giving in, every year the racist and xenophobic tones and rhetoric seem to strengthen. I wonder how long it is until the Republicans come straight out and endorse the KKK or some white nationalist group? At this rate it will probably be sooner rather than later as the propaganda seems to get crazier each day of this election year.

I hope both Stone and Jones get to see this, and when they do I want them to take a second to sit back and reflect on their life choices. How disappointed their mothers must be to spend all their childhood teaching manners and respectable morals just to have them throw it out the window in hopes they can be the in the spotlight for even a second. Stone and Jones deserve no respect, two unintelligent right-wing Christians Theist who believe the world was made for the white man and the white man only. To think anyone could be so naive and racist while feeling proud of their actions like they are a hero, is disgusting. What else can I expect out these two men who were raised in comfort given everything they ever wanted and never once had to suffer effects of racism or poverty. Fools will fill the silence with hate speech while disguised as reporters.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
