A Letter to my High School Self,
High School is said to be the best four years of your life. At least that's what your mom is going to tell you each morning before you go to school. The first day of high school you're going to feel full of different emotions such as excitement for new beginnings and nervous because you don't know what to expect. Don't worry though, because the friends you made during summer are standing on the other side of the door feeling the exact same way.
As you walk into those doors remember that each moment you have is a learning experience. High school is a time where you will be able to truly find out more about yourself. It's full of amazing experiences and some rough patches. Get involved your first year of school because you don't want to wait until your junior year and miss out on the opportunities you could have made in the first two years. Don't ever skip out on something due to your fear of not being accepted because if something is meant to be, it will be. Always take the chance because you never know what will come out of it.
Luckily for you, you were chosen to be apart of something that has changed your life forever. Campus ministry has played a huge factor on who you are today. Not only will it teach you about leadership skills but it is one of the main reasons why you were able to break out of your shell. The teachers you have will make a huge impact on you. You may not believe it at first when they are telling you but remember there's a light inside of you that's ready to come out.
Remain close with the friends you have made in these last four years because they have been through each moment with you from when you walked into the school gate your first day to walking off the graduation stage on your last. The biggest lesson that I'm going to leave you off with is this: enjoy each experience because you never know when you will be able to feel that moment again. Don't count down the minutes until the school day is over because these four years will go by in the blink of an eye.
I'm excited for you to see the future that you have ahead of you and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
Love Always,
Second Year You
