A Letter To My Best Friends

To My People,

Someone once told me that if a friendship lasts over seven years, it'll last a life time. And I have began to think that they were right.

Most of us met in elementary school, and the others were added into our group in middle school. Some may come and go, but we have been the ones who have stayed together since day one.

People think it is impossible to have more than one best friend, but I believe you can have multiple, and you all proved this point.

We are all different in many ways. From our looks, to our interests, and even our carrers. But there was something about us all that made us stick together. Through thick and thin.

We are understanding, loving, compassionate, but also straight forward with each other. No matter the circumstance and I thank you all for that.

If I did not have you all in my life, I am not really sure where I would be. You are all my rock and my home. I know that I can trust you all with anything and tell you all about anything, no matter how personal it might be.

Not only have we watched each other grow from little girls to women, but we have been through heartbreaks, loses, Fredericktown (never forget), Halloween parties, and hard life challenges together. We are each others back bone. Sometimes it might not seem like we are all there together, and it is hard for us all to be physically, but I know when I need you all the most you are right by my side.

Losing a friend was the hardest thing I think we all could have went through. I could not bear the pain physically or mentally but you all got me through it. We were there to hold each other up through this rough time and I am unconditionally grateful.

I thank you all for the love, the support, and the family we have created. No matter how many downfalls we have encountered and even when you don't respond in the group text.

No matter the distance, no matter the situation, I will love you all unconditionally till the day I die. Each of you have a special place in my heart and forever will.

So thank you.

For everything. For being you. For being my best friend.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
