After You Cry, Remember To Laugh

There will be days when you're falling apart, there will be days when you don't know how you can possibly get out of bed and face the world. There will be days you want to cry, there will be days when you want to give up, there will be days when you don't feel like you can go on because the world is a terrible place then but there will be days where you can feel the sun on your face and there will be days where you are impossibly happy. There will be days where you can be with people you love and everything falls perfectly into place. Live for those kind of days.

Sometimes life is like a crazy roller coaster but the butterflies at the top when you drop from that fall make it all worth it. It's human to feel sad, it's human to feel happy, and you should never apologize for either of those.

Happiness is the secret to all beauty, there is no beauty without happiness. And happiness is everywhere if you take time to look.

Life is short and you can either just live life going through the motions or, you can live life.

Be careless to a point. Have fun, celebrate, go out with friends. Embarrass yourself by your "ugly" laugh and snort every so often. Be apologetically yourself. Go skating even if you don't know how, go to the movies and cry at the sad parts, eat so much at restaurants that you feel like you're gonna hurl at anytime, and if you do hurl and want more go back for seconds and don't even feel bad about it.

One of the best quotes I think anyone has ever told me would be "Sometimes even if you've drove your whole life traffic gets to heavy, you just feel like you're doing something wrong, maybe even going the wrong way, so you have to pull over. Even the best drivers pull over sometimes." Life throws so many curves at us its nearly impossible to not break. How long your down doesn't mess with the big picture, it's how you choose to get back up. If you stayed sad your whole life then what's the point? You only have one life and this ones yours. Don't go through it miserable.

In life we have to learn simple steps

See it

Learn it

Feel it in everyway possible

If it hurts you, let it break you

Cry and scream if you have to

Then pick yourself up and turn your page from that chapter.

Your story is far from finished darling.

There is always happiness in life sometimes you just have to search for it. What can I tell you from my journey? It's worth it. Pick laughter, pick happiness, pick yourself up, pick your life to be something your grandkids will tell there grandkids.

No matter what struggle you may be going through at this momment, I hope you overcome it and see you are stronger than any force telling you that you are not.

Better days are always ahead.

Kelso

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
