November 26th--Adele announced via Twitter that she will be going on tour in promotion of her new album 25. Fans were overjoyed to hear the soul songstress is returning, but many were disappointed to learn the tour would only be in Europe and the UK.

The singer has been dominating social media since her chart topping song ‘Hello’ appeared in late October and the release of her full album proved even more profitable. Within three days of its release, 25 sold 2.433 million copies, shattering the single-week sales record in the U.S.

After making multiple television appearances on both American and British television, fans began speculating of the long-awaited tour announcement. Their anticipation was realized Thanksgiving Day when Adele posted a cheery video of herself, all smiles, while blundering through her announcement.

Along with the cheeky precursor video, dates and locations of the tour were released on Adele’s official website and caused quite the reaction from fans. The tour, which is beginning in February, will consist of 36 dates across the UK and Europe...exclusively. Considering her international stardom the songstresses announcement was not taken lightly by fans in the other six continents.

Public outcry from the 'overlooked' continents has not yet been addressed by Adele's team. Fans, however, have begun speculation that these constricted locations are all leading up to a certain event. The tour is set to end in June of 2016, conveniently a few days before the wildly popular British music festival Glastonbury. This information led many fans to assume the songstress may be headlining the show or making a 'guest' appearance.

All this speculation is hopeful for those fans feeling dubbed by their favorite British vocalist and have many saying 'never mind I'll find someone like you.'

On a personal note, I consider this another clever business move on the part of Adele. One reason for her astronomical record sales was her stern intention to not allow 25 to be available through music-streaming services. Listeners to Spotify or Apple Music were forced to purchase the album online or in-stores, furthermore proving her sway as an artist. Adele understands the loyalty of her fans and rewards them with her powerful music, but at the end of day knows good business.

It is likely she will extend her tour to locations outside of the UK and Europe, but only after building up the anticipation. For a woman who took five years to release a new album and subsequently broke international record sales I'd call Adele someone who understands the value of 'making them wait for it.'
