Rules are meant to be broken am I right? Well, at least these ones are from time to time.

1. Skipping class because you have to study for another test

So you may have accidentally taken a "study break" and it ended up being six weeks worth of class and now you have a huge test and only so many hours to cram. So, you see a perfect excuse to skip a class before your big exam strictly for the sake of your GPA.

2. Breaking your diet

I'm not saying you should throw away that kick butt workout you just completed or throw away all the progress you've made in becoming a vegan but, eat a cheeseburger if you want it, that's all.

3. Texting him or her first

Today, modern romance is all about who can care less. On one hand, you might really want to talk to a guy but you wouldn't dare text him first. And on the other hand, he's too shy because he thinks you're out of his league. But, you both desperately want to talk to each other. Break. This. Rule. Can we actually not make this a rule anymore? Text someone if you want to talk to them, life's too short!

4. Buying the expensive bag

Buy that expensive bag or shoes because you are worth it and you are worth it now. Invest in yourself now. Maybe you will have to order off the McDonald's dollar menu for a week or two but, at least you'll look fabulous doing it.

5. Kissing on the first date

If the night is right and the moment is romantic don't ruin it because you have made up some rule in your head. Studies have shown that if you kiss on the first date, you are completely safe from wasting a cute outfit on the second date that ends with a bad, no firework, no sparks, kind-of kiss.

6. Wearing white after labor day

If I want to wear white jeans or a white dress I don't care when it is, I'm doing it. If the shoes fit, wear it. If the outfit is white and it's after labor day but you look amazing, wear it.

7. Getting a tattoo when you're young

Coming from someone who doesn't even have an ink, it annoys me when I hear other people ask someone, "what do you think that's gonna look like when you're ninety?" , or "are you sure you want that on your body for the rest of your life?". Let people live their own lives the way they want to!

8. Wearing something out of your "age" zone

Again, if you think you look good in something, wear it with confidence! Don't second guess yourself just because it might make you look a little younger or a little older.

9. Eating after midnight

Calories don't count after midnight should be the new rule. Sometimes you find yourself on a Saturday night out with your friends and they want to go through a drive-thru. You can't be lame and say no just because it's late at night.

10. Sneaking candy into the movies

When candy costs four dollars at the movie theatre and one dollar at a gas station it can be tempting to sneak it in. It's nothing to be ashamed about unless you get caught, then that's just really embarrassing.

Sometimes you just have to break the rules and do harmless little things like this to make it seem like you're living life on the edge. What rules are you going to break today?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
