On October 5, 2018, "A Star Is Born" with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper debuted in movie theaters across the world. The movie broadcasts many different themes and makes the audience feel many emotions within its 2 hours.

The movie is a remake of the 1937 movie by the same name and it is the 4th time it's been remade. It tells the story of Jackson Maine and Ally. Their chance meeting at a drag bar leads to a beautiful relationship.

Lady Gaga give a beautiful performance of Ally. She conveys all the emotions Ally needed to express and her singing is beautiful. Bradley Cooper should also be given a shout out, too. His acting is obviously impeccable, but his singing makes me think he's known for singing, not acting.

The major theme of the movie is to not take loved ones for granted. After watching the movie, I had to remind myself to give love to my friends and family. You never know when you'll have to say goodbye to them.

The movie portrays how important it is to stay true to yourself. When one of the characters is coerced into doing something that isn't like them, people around them noticed they were straying away from their normal self. It's so important in life to stay true to who you are because (and I understand this is cheesy) there's no one else like you on this planet.

Another thing the movie tackles is the hard concept of addiction. One of the characters is an alcoholic and addicted to pain killers. You can see how it destroys the character throughout the movie. The actor portrayed this great and didn't romanticize or overplay it at all, which is a hard thing to do with movies. It's hard for audiences to believe the actor is going through this addiction because it's a hard thing to portray, but the actor did a great job and showed how this disease affects millions.

The movie is a romantic drama musical. That might seem like a lot, but it's so beautifully intertwined within each other that you aren't bothered by it.

The music in the movie is so amazing and should be recognized. Obviously, the actors singing it is beautiful within itself, but the lyrics are something to be remembered. I downloaded the soundtrack on my phone as soon as I got out of the movie theater and I'm sure a lot of people who watched the movie did, too.

My favorite song off the soundtrack is called Shallow. It's a duet between Ally and Jackson and it's a song about a new relationship. The song in the movie is performed on stage by both characters and you can really see their bond. After the movie, I decided this scene was my favorite in the whole movie because of this bond that's showed.

The movie will go down in history as one of the best love stories ever for me. It showed the good, the bad, and the ugly in a relationship that everyone can relate to. The love you see being shared between these two characters is beautiful and convincing. It's one of those pairings where you wish they were actually in love outside the movie.

I loved this movie so much and I thought the themes portrayed in it were so important, especially in today's society. I think every person should watch it because it can teach a lesson everyone needs to hear.

Whether you want to watch a love story, a movie about music, or just a good old drama, A Star Is Born is for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
