Tips on living with a full schedule.

Since college is officially back in the full swing of things, it's hard to find time to do pretty much anything that's not school related for the people like me who also have a job in addition to being a full-time student. Here are some helpful tips on how to manage your time efficiently so you don't burn yourself out.

1. Pencil It In!

If you don't have a written schedule, it'd probably be a good idea to invest in one, as it's incredibly helpful to actually see when you'll have free time or not. Do you have an assignment due next Thursday? Better write it down so you don't forget. It's good just to get in the habit of writing everything down, that way, you'll have it staring at your face. It's harder to ignore that way.

2. Naps!

Sometimes, when you're incredibly busy, it can be hard to get an actual good night's sleep. So find a nice quiet, safe place and take a quick nap. It'll recharge your batteries a little bit and will hopefully make it easier to get through the rest of your day.

3. Treat yo' self!

Sometimes you just have to make the time to treat yourself. Because I mean you're spending all this time and energy at school, all this time and energy at work and for what? Money? Splurge a little bit, you deserve it for how hard you worked!

4. Schedule is Love, Schedule is Life!

Before college, I didn't write down anything in a planner. If I didn't now though, I'd forget half of the things that are due and I'd be struggling to do anything. If spending like $10 is going to make my life easier, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Between work, school, and various drama from either family or friends, I'd be completely frazzled if I wasn't writing the important things down.

5. Unplug and Disconnect!

Sometimes, it's just best to take a moment and take a moment for yourself. Instead of just texting that friend, go on a Pokemon Go adventure instead. Honestly, this world is a beautiful place, it's time to stop studying for a few minutes and live a little. You're not going to be young forever.

So while being busy is OK, it's also OK to invest some time into yourself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
