Let me start off by saying I LOVE my job...most of the time. I think working in retail is a great job for teenagers and young adults, and I firmly believe that everyone should work in retail at some point in their early life.
It teaches patience, fast thinking, what the word no means, and how to handle money.
However if you have worked in retail, at some point or another these thought are sure to have crossed your mind.
1. Why are you shopping at 10am on a Thursday?
2. Do people not have jobs?
3. I wanna be able to go on a shopping spree during the week when I'm older.
4. No, sorry, I don't speak Czech, Spanish, French...
5. You repeating it in that language will not make me understand what you want.
6. Gesturing at that shirt and saying something I don't understand is not going to help anything.
7. I wish I could google translate this conversation.
8. Why do people feel the need to try on 13 articles of clothing and then only purchase one item?
9. I see you waiting for a dressing room, do you not see me on my way? Calm down.
10. Yes, please leave your clothes all over the store.
11. I AM NOT YOUR MAID.
12. I am having a long day could you not pull that attitude on me?
13. I'm helping someone else meaning you have to wait for your turn, so stop being a brat.
