11 Fashion Trends From The Nineties That Should Definitely Make A Comeback

The 90's were full of great things; classic television shows, epic boy bands, and of course, incredible fashion. Everyone knows that fashion has the history of repeating itself and lots of current fashion trends have been sporting some 90's influence. But here are some of the trends that haven't quite made a comeback yet, but definitely should.

1. Mood Rings

I desperately need an accessory that says "Please don't talk to me, I'm pissed off" without me actually having to say anything.

2. Shants

Bipolar weather days are no match for these gems. So what that it was very evident where the zippers were? Functionality over fashion every day.

3. Crimped Hair

Let's be honest, you used your crimper just as frequently back then as you use your straightener now. Bonus points if you only crimped little strips of your hair rather than your whole head.

4. Jelly Shoes

The 90's version of Crocs. You may have received more blisters than you ever wanted, but having such a flawlessly glittery shoe was worth it.

5. Slap Bracelets

Who needs Alex and Ani bracelets? A magic trick, boredom buster, and cool accessory rolled in one. They can also be used to wrap around ponytails as well, versatile!

6. Skorts

The nineties really was the decade of combinations. You never had to worry about wearing a skirt on windy days or crossing your legs in class, skorts always had your back.

7. Velour Tracksuits

The ideal comfortable outfit. You have to admit you owned at least three of them, and they weren't cheap either.

8. Butterfly Clips

Bangs falling in your face? Butterfly clip. Having a bad hair day? Butterfly clip. Don't have enough time to straighten your whole head of hair? Butterfly clip. Need a cool party look? Butterfly clip.

9. Stirrup Pants

Man would tucking pants into boots and socks be much easier if this trend resurfaced.

10. Mom Jeans

The perfect pants to give off the illusion that your butt is larger than it actually is. Bonus points that they're baggier and more comfortable than skinny jeans.

11. Stick On Earrings

Who needs nice earrings? With stick on earrings there is ALWAYS something that will match your outfit AND you don't have to wear the same pair twice.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
