Reminiscing about the 90s is a lot of fun, especially for 90s babies. 90s babies are like a culture of their own. They had so many cool toys and TV shows that no other generation will be able to experience. That’s pretty unfortunate for them, because it was such a fun time to be alive. Sure, the world has made some incredible technological advances, but I would give almost anything to go back to the simple 90s days. If you were a 90s kid, you remember all of these things.

Fortune Tellers

All of your dreams either came true or were crushed quickly by handmade fortune tellers or by the game MASH. Were you destined to live in a mansion or a shack? You had to accept your fate. I wonder how many of these came true?

Mad Libs

This is basically how you know what nouns, adjectives, and verbs are. It was so fun sitting around for hours laughing at crazy stories.

Flip Phones

You were the coolest person in school if you had a Razr. Flipping the phone open to talk to your bestie was the definition of cool. If you had the pink one, you were as legit as it gets.

T-9 Texting

Let's just say, the struggle was real to press the number 7 four times just to get the letter S. But somehow, we were all pros at it.

Disposable Cameras

You couldn't just view your pictures right away like you can now with a digital camera. You had to take it to a drug store and actually get them printed to have a memory of that Kodak moment, only to realize afterwards that you don't like the way you look in any of them.

TV Shows

What ever happened to Kim Possible and The Proud Family? Disney Channel will never be the same.

VHS Tapes

Future generations will never understand the struggle of rewinding the tape to watch a movie again. At least if you stopped watching for a little while, you can begin the tape right where you left off.

Blockbusters

Going on Friday nights to pick out movies for the weekends (and then being charged over and over again with late fees) was the start of an ideal weekend.

Hit Clips

Those 15 seconds of Britney Spears' "Stronger" was pure bliss. We needed nothing else. No matter what, we tried to collect all of our favorites.

Limited Too

This was every girl's paradise. It was the only place you could go to buy flavored lip smacker, trendy clothes, and colored hair extensions. Why would they change this to Justice? It's just not the same.

I know all of us 90s kids have our own memories, but we can all agree that we were and always will be the best generation. Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s was a blast. These were only a few of the reasons why I love being a 90s baby. If I were to name everything, the list would never end! I can't wait to see which things, if any, will eventually make a comeback.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
