1. Take A Nap
Sleep is one of the most important factors to letting your body restore. It helps with memory, function, and simple rejuvenation. Give your body a break and take a quick power nap. Your body and mind will thank you later.
2. Step Off The Scale
Weight is a number that we take to heart too often. The number does not define if you're healthy or not. Take care of your body, drink water, and work out. Don't rely on the number but rather the visual results. You will have more energy and save time, while loving yourself.
3. Read A Book
Sit down, take an hour of your day, and just read. Get lost for a short period of time into another life. Go on a journey and let your mind flow. Not only is this good for brain growth, but an amazing way to let your mind forget about temporary stresses.
4. Do Your Favorite Hobby
Whatever you love to do, set time aside for it, and do it. You have 24 hours in a day to conquer. Whether its painting, photography, bird watching, etc. Do it! Don't push it aside for everything else because it is what makes you, you.
6. Seriously, Take A Nap
I'm not kidding when I say a nap is the best refresher for self care. Your body deserves it. Just don't nap too much!
7. Get Fresh Air
Go for a walk, or simply open your window. Your body will feel re-energized and your mind clear. Air is so important for a clear mind, and better emotions. Find ways to get out.
8. Take A Hot Bath
At the end of the day, relax your muscles in a hot bath. Use salts, bath bombs, or anything your heart simply desires. Let the aromas fill your body, and let your mind shut out the world for a short period of time. Just simply... Relax.
9. Breathe
This is the most vital. We never stop breathing, but we also don't focus on it when we grow stressed. Give your lungs a few deeps breathes. Not only will this unscramble your mind, but also calm your heart. Life moves quickly, but we can always take time for ourselves.
