No matter what you are doing in your life, sometimes things get rough. You wake up in the morning and you just sigh and wish you didn't have to get up and go to class or work. Maybe you started a new workout plan and healthy diet, and you find yourself wanting to cheat often. It happens to all of us and it's totally okay, but sometimes the best strength to keep going is found in His book.

1. "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."

2 Chronicles 15:7

2. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 41:10

3. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28

4. "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Exodus 14:14

5. "When you pass through the water, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

Isaiah 43:2

6. "I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

Psalm 16:8

7. "Cast all you anxiety on him because he cares for you."

1 Peter 5:7

8. "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one."

Psalm 28:7-8

9. "Always pray and never give up."

Luke 18:1

These are the verses that keep me going. You may feel alone or torn down at times, but He is always with you. So keep pushing. Keep going.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
