Formal season is here. But of course, you're most excited to see the typical array of characters that are always present at every single formal.

1. The Deep Conversationalist

Watch out for this girl. You compliment her on her dress, and next thing you know, you're sucked into a 40-minute long conversation about the meaning of life. Beware.

2. The Paparazzi

Whether it's of herself, her date, her friends, or even the guy working the bar, this chick is takes pictures like it's her job, and cannot let a single moment go undocumented.

3. The Girl Who Takes a Tumble

Heels are just not this girl's friend. You hate to see it.

4. The Overly PDA Couple

We get it, you're having a great time with your significant other. But like, maybe take it down ten notches?

5. The Crier

Maybe she spilled on her dress or maybe her date's "being such a jerk." Whatever the reason, there's always at least one. And she's usually in the bathroom surrounded by her posse, who are all desperately trying to fix her running mascara.

6. The Sober Monitor

They have to make sure everything runs smoothly. Let's take a moment of silence for them, as they have to soberly deal with all of these hooligans running around. God bless.

This guy is the definition of a buzzkill. Like come on dude, you're not cool.

8. The Dancing Queen/King

They start to tear up the dance floor the second they get there, and don't stop until they physically have to get dragged out of the place to leave. They are the life of this party.

9. The Hungry Chick

"Can we get pizza after this? I'm literally starving."
