9 Times I Should Tell My Sister "Thank You" and "I Love You"

Little Sister,

You are beautiful, kind-hearted, intelligent, caring, determined, and truly amazing! You are an incredible and awe-inspiring human being. You truly make me strive to be a better person every day! This is for all of the times that I should have said "thank you" and "I love you" but didn't.

1. Thank you for always being my best friend.

From when we were babies until our last day on Earth, I know that I will always have you as my best friend. Yes, we have had our times when we have grown apart, but we always manage to find a way back together, and become closer than ever! Our sisterhood is a bond that can never be broken.

2. When you are too hard on yourself, I love you.

For the times when you are critical of yourself, doubting how you acted or silently judging how you look, remember that I love you more than anything else in the entire world, and I mean it. Even if you aren't feeling lots of self-love, your big sister will always love you.

3. Thank you for breaking the rules from time to time.

As the older sister, I feel the need to set an example for you and make a path for you to follow. Thanks for breaking the rules and reminding me to let my "type-A-ness" relax and enjoy life with you and occasionally a little mischief.

4. When you push the rules a little too far, I love you.

Although it isn't often (anymore), sometimes mom and dad have to lay down the law. Even though it might not seem like mom and dad understand your side of the story, know that I always will.

5. Thank you for having the world's biggest heart.

You are the most compassionate and empathetic person that I know. Thank you for loving without restrictions. Your passion for others inspires me to be more kindhearted (like you) everyday!

6. When you are a silly goofy bundle of laughs, I love you!

Sometimes I take life too seriously, but you are always there with a quirky dance move and a funny youtube video to brighten my day and make me enjoy every moment with you.

7. Thank you for being so determined.

You are always striving to do bigger and better things. Your determination to be better for yourself and for others encourages me to do the same. When you fall, you always get back up, and with a little more ferocity. I love that about you.

8. When you get really overwhelmed with life, I love you.

Life can be tough, and despite your constant optimistic outlook, sometimes a good cry is necessary to shake those overwhelmed feelings. I will always be there for you for a warm hug and someone to cry with.

9. Thank you for always loving me.

I am far from perfect. Nonetheless you always seem to admire me and are my biggest cheerleader and source of support. Whether I am succeeding, or failing miserably, you always love me unconditionally. I am forever grateful.

Little sis, I can honestly say that I cannot imagine this world without you. You are, and always will be, my best friend, source of support, and go-to-girl for an awesome time. I wouldn't trade you for anything in the whole entire world! You are a simply incredible and inspirational human being.

All my love forever and always!

XOXO

Big Sis

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
