Senioritis is a thing, and it is brutal. Midterms are a struggle for any college student, but for seniors, it's a whole different story.
1. Do I really need to study for this?
Probably not; doing not my best on this exam won’t fail me, and my book is across the room and that is just too much effort at this point.
2. It’s your last everything.
This is my last 9th week of fall semester. I should be enjoying it instead of studying.
3. Organization is bar none.
Where is that one sheet that has all the answers on it?
4. Time crunch.
So there are 24 hours in the day. I need at least eight of those for sleep, five of those for class and five of those for work, so that’s six hours left? And I need to study for five classes in that time.
5. Because of #4, sleep deprivation happens.
If I cut my sleep by half, I can study for four more hours and just get a coffee IV. That seems do-able.
6. Coffee dependence.
There comes a time when coffee just has no effect on you, and then you are SOL.
7. Professors plan to make each student’s life terrible.
Okay, no they don’t. They can actually be very understanding, even though it seems that they get together and schedule all their assignments and tests during the same week. If you let your professors know about your hectic week, they may be able to grant you an extension (maybe).
8. You reach the point of no return…
Which means you have “studied” as much as you can, and at this point you are ready for whatever this test has in store for you—which may be tears, followed by happy hour.
9. In the end, you’re a senior.
And finals are more important than midterms anyways.
