I am not ashamed to admit that I am a bossy person. I believe that my bossiness is a valuable part of my personality, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I will be the first to say, however, that some people simply don't understand, or can't appreciate my bossy tendencies, but this article is not for them. These are 10 things only bossy people understand.

1. There is no question about who will take the lead in group projects.

When it comes to taking the lead, you have no hesitation stepping up because you know you'll have no trouble getting stuff done.

2. "Biting your tongue" is simply not an option.

If you have an opinion about something, people around you are going to know it. You aren't trying to shove your opinions down other people's throats- you just have the ability to speak your mind.

3. Two bossy people don't mesh well.

Either romantically or just in friendships, it is best to have someone who is better at listening and is comfortable with someone else taking the lead, because two bossy people will definitely butt heads.

4. Some people will take offense to your "suggestions."

While you never intend to offend people with your suggestions, sometimes people just don't like your contributions. But you can't please everyone, so you just shrug it off.

6. You tend to be the first one to speak up if the conversation goes quiet.

Awkward silences are not in your vocabulary, and if there is ever a break in the chatter, you are more than likely to be the one to break the silence.

7. Your friends turn to you to make the plans.

You wouldn't be caught dead standing around waiting for someone else to make the plans. If there are plans to be made, you are most likely the one coordinating rides and getting the ball rolling.

8. People often value your opinion.

Since you are usually the first to contribute your opinion, people often gravitate towards you and take stock in what you have to say.

9. It takes everything in you to not correct someone if they're wrong.

While you are not trying to be a know-it-all, the bossiness in you makes it nearly impossible to let an incorrect statement go uncorrected.

10. Your bossiness is a valuable asset that you wouldn't trade for the world.

While it may frustrate some people, your bossiness is what makes you a natural born leader and you wouldn't give it up for the world.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
