College students live in a sweet and unique time in life. There are many things that college students worry about, but don't need to worry about. It may not feel like it, but there is life after college. While you're in college, don't worry about these following things.

1. Finding your crew.

Starting college is overwhelming and scary. Personally, I was worried about making friends. Somehow in college, you find a crew of people who you just click with. There are plenty of people to meet, so don't worry about finding someone you connect with.

2. Surviving the dorms.

The dorms aren't always the greatest place, but it's an experience to live in them. You will survive, no matter how horrible the dorm might be. You will also collect stories to tell for the rest of your life that you won't get anywhere else.

3. Changing your mind.

It's OK to change your mind about your major, school, and situation. In college, you are finally at the point when you aren't locked into anything forever. Don't worry about making a decision that no one anticipated. The world will keep turning.

4. Getting disconnected from family and friends.

Thank goodness for twenty-first-century technology. Don't worry about getting disconnected, but it's on you to keep in contact with people that are important in your life. You don't have to drift apart from people, but it's OK if you do.

5. Meeting the love of your life.

If you don't meet the love of your life in college, you will survive. We all hope for a love one day, but in college, there are way more important things to be worried about. At the same time, don't let the opportunity pass you by should it come.

6. Finding opportunities to travel.

You will have a multitude of opportunities to travel. There are ways to get travel funding to support you in getting where you want to go. You just have to seek out the opportunities.

7. Being bored.

In college, there is never such a thing as a dull moment. Don't worry about being bored or there being a lack of things to do. If nothing else, you and your friends will find something to do.

8. Being hungry.

You will never go hungry. The college will have food, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to have a kind professor or adopted family who may feed you.

9. Being perfect.

In college, you will never be perfect. You shouldn't try to be. You will never, ever reach the level of perfection that some people strive to achieve.

At the end of the day, there are several things to worry about in college, but these nine things are not any of them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
