Ever since Snapchat introduced streaks, the social media became more than just a form of social connection. It became a game, a challenge, a commitment. There's nothing that means more to you when you open your Snapchat then to see the fire emoji next to your best friends. When you notice that one streak is gone, whether three, 42, or 190 days long, panic and heart break sets in. Here's how to deal with this pain.
1. Realize it and accept it.
2. Confront the person you lost it with.
3. Distance yourself from that person until you can find the courage to snapchat them again.
4. Shed a few tears, but not too many.
5. Realize it could be worse--you could lose ALL your streaks.
6. Improve yourself. Set daily reminders to snapchat your streak-friends.
7. When you have come to terms, try to rekindle your snap-relationship.
8. When things seem fully better, rebuild your streak.
9. Lastly, NEVER forget the pain you once felt when that streak was lost.
