It only happens very rarely in a lifetime where someone is graced with a best friend who has passed the boundaries of a normal best friendship and into the BEST of all best friends. This person gets you like no other, and you can count on them for anything. They are your person, and you wouldn't trade that for the world!
1. You share clothes.
Sharing clothes is second nature by this point, and you might not even realize when you have the others clothes.
2. You give each other honest opinions.
Does this dress make me look pregnant? Do I look good in this lip color? Is this guy not good enough for me? These are all very important questions and I will answer them with full honesty.
3. You notice the little things.
You know when they vacuumed last, and you make sure they took their medicine when they need to. They ask about your grandma's surgery and know about the family drama. They know everything about that itch on your back, and inspected it for you too. You know everything about each other, and it only makes your connection stronger.
4. Being around their parents isn't uncomfortable.
Sometimes, you actually want to hang out with them!
5. Your dog sees them as family.
When your dog acts the same way around your best friend as they do around your entire family, you know that they've made it.
6. You assume that you are going to help set up the party when they say they're throwing one.
Decorations? Check. Making food? Check. Inviting the guests? Check. Being a second hostess? Check.
7. Helping to clean their house is not an unusual task.
When you’re hanging out and their parents ask for them to clean up, of course you're going to help clean!
8. Everyone they hate, you hate as well.
That co-worker that got the promotion you deserve? Hate them. Their ex? Hate them. That bully from fourth grade who never apologized? Hate them too.
9. You set up time to Skype/call/see each other regularly when you're away at school.
Because nothing is better than telling your best friend about your troubles that you can't tell anyone else.
So whether you are with them constantly or they live across the country, you've known them for two weeks or your whole life, you know that you always have a friend in them, and they always have a friend in you.
