9 Places You Must See While Abroad In Europe

I’ve seen a lot of places this year, but these are the top must see places to visit while anyone studies abroad.

1. London

I love London. There are words that cannot describe the amazing atmosphere that flows throughout the entire city. It reminds me of home, walking around a smaller version of New York City. Not to mention the relief I felt when everyone spoke English. If there’s one place you can’t miss while studying abroad, it’s definitely London.

2. Rome

My home away from home. Rome is the place to be and is a must see. Around every corner there is something to see or eat or do. You could spend a lifetime in Rome and never see or taste it all. It is my favorite place in the world.

3. Dublin

There is something so spectacular about live music in every bar and pub in the city. Wherever you go, the sounds of music fill your ear and make you smile. It is a small city filled with a lot of beautiful noise.

4. Paris

Although I have yet to go to Paris, I am spending all of Spring Break there because it deserves it. Paris is such a beautiful and amazing city filled with my favorite things: art, music, bread, and macaroons.

5. Amsterdam

A city with a different culture that may be shocking to Americans, it is a must see. It is a very cool city filled with the scent of weed and urine, but once you get past it there is beauty around every corner.

6. Prague

By far the most quaint and beautiful city I’ve ever seen, Prague is a classic. The food is delicious, the people are attractive, and the city is gorgeous. What more could you want.

7. Budapest

If you don’t sing George Ezra’s “Budapest” while getting off the plane, are you really in Budapest? Both the Buda and the Pest side have amazing things to offer and see not to mention the famous thermal baths. Go see Budapest, you won’t regret it.

8. Greece

If you go anywhere in Greece, you can’t be disappointed. From Athens to the Islands, anywhere you go will be fantastic. Wait until the weather gets warm and then sun yourself on a beautiful stretch of Greek beach.

9. Vienna

A city of music and art, Vienna is a gem. The food is delicious and the people are really cool. Spend a weekend in Vienna and experience the fabulous culture.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
