Let’s face it, Disney is not all it used to be. We had baby Hilary Duff, Shia Labeouf, Raven Symone and so many more. So, let’s take a little scroll down memory lane to the days of Boys in Motion who give their devotion and find out what dreams were made of, shall we?
"That’s So Raven"
"Ya nasty." Ah, the infamous one liners. How we miss those. And then....
"Lizzie McGuire"
I feel you, Miranda. I feel you.
I still think about the Aaron Carter Christmas special.
My 8-year-old self is freaking out.
"The Cheetah Girls"
“Cheetah Girls, Cheetah Sisters.”
I remember during a snow storm, I made my family sit and watch me and my friend sing and dance to the entire CD. And I’m not going to lie, I still do jam hard sometimes.
You can run and tell that.
"Phil of the Future"
Oh, Phil of the future. I don’t know a girl who did not have a major crush on Ricky Ullman (Phil). And I also need to bring to light that this show brought fetus Evan Peters into our lives.
You’re welcome for that reminder.
"Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century"
Yeah, dude. I know. Blast from the past. But for real..
“Boom, boom, boom! Make my heart go zoom, zoom, zoom!”
Mr. Feeny: Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good.
Cory: Don’t you mean do well?
Mr. Feeny: No, I mean do good.
Now if you know me, then you know that this is my favorite show of all time.
Why you may ask? Well...
And...
But, ultimately why the show is great?
"Even Stevens"
"Even Stevens" is a show that will live in our hearts forever.
Especially Beans.
I get it, Beans. I get it.
"The Color of Friendship"
“If you’re from Africa, why are you white?”
When this family wanted an exchange student from Africa, they weren't expecting one so colorful. If you have not seen this, then you need to put it on your list.
"Tru Confessions"
This is also another one to put on that list of yours.
One that will put some things into perspective as well as be a humbling experience. This movie is the sweetest and brings me to tears every time. I love this message!
The Thirteenth Year
You know, the one about the swimmer who finds out he is a merman and is given up by his mermaid mother? No? Well, it's better than it sounds.
Halloweentown
Even if you aren't into Halloween, you should know this movie. Every year, it would show up on ABC Family and Disney every night during the 13 Nights of Halloween.
I completely understand, Marnie. More than you know.
Now that we took a little scroll, I know that there are many movies and shows that you miss Disney Channel showing. It has been replaced with talking dogs. I repeat: talking dogs. So my fellow 1995-2000's Disney Channel lovers, I leave you with this:
