Apps are pretty much running our lives. We all have smartphones, computers, or even both, that we waste a ridiculous amount of time on. I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for new apps to entertain myself. If you are in the same position, maybe this list will help!

1. Twitter

Twitter is essential. You can follow your favorite celebrities, parodies, and your friends, of course! People never stop tweeting so there is always ample content to read.

2. Facebook

Another essential app! How else are we going to share pictures with our Great-Great Aunt who lives across the country? Which brings me to Instagram.

3. Instagram

Instagram is great. It is like Twitter, but only for pictures. On Instagram, you can also follow your favorite celebrities and friends. Plus, you don’t have to worry about seeing Uncle Jim’s posts regarding the election or how things do not seem to improve in Aunt Wilma’s life.

4. Snapchat

You would be lying if you said you’ve never seen a picture of someone with puppy dog ears and noses. This is where it all started. You can send snaps to your friends that disappear forever after 10 seconds….except when you get that creepy notification that someone screenshotted your snap. You can also upload snaps to your story so all of your friends and followers can see it for 24 hours. And then- Poof! It all goes away! You can also follow celebs on here as well to see what they’re up to.

5. Tumblr

I love Tumblr because it is much more personal than other websites/apps. It is a website where you blog what you love. Here you can reblog what other people have posted and you can also blog your own life, experiences, and feelings. Also, our parents have not discovered this app yet…so there’s another plus.

6. Timehop

Timehop is for you if you love the idea of time capsules. You connect Timehop to apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and it compiles everything that you posted years ago on that day! It is really entertaining to look at what you posted on Facebook 6 years ago while you were in Middle School. Umm… Super cringe-worthy.

7. iFunny

If you love laughing, this app is for you. Every day, new features are released. You can scroll through the daily features and also look through old features. This app will definitely make you laugh!

8. Spotify

I highly recommend Spotify and definitely recommend investing in Spotify Premium. You pay $10 a month (or $4.99 if you’re a student) to listen to all the free music that you want. All of the songs that you could ever imagine are on Spotify and you can even create your own playlists. If you pay the $10 a month, you listen to the music ad-free and also get the option to save a playlist to your phone so you don’t utilize data while listening!

9. Freeprints

This app is amazing! I love, love, love pictures. If you are anything like me, you have tons of scrapbooks and walls full of pictures in your room. If you download this app, you can order up to 85 free prints per month and they will ship to you for anywhere starting at $1.99 up to $10 depending on the quantity. You can also decide to get more than 85 prints and only pay $0.09 cents apiece! There is no monthly fee for this app! You only pay when you want to order some pictures.

I hope that my description of these apps have convinced you of why I can’t live without these on my phone. I would be totally lost without them!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
