When the clock strikes 12 and the ball nears the ground, kisses are shared, and the infamous New Year's resolutions are proposed. Social media pages will be littered with empty promises pledging a resurrection from hungover people worldwide. Will the new year really usher in a new me? Below are some of the common resolutions that will find themselves lost and abandoned by the end of the first month in 2016.
1. Getting into shape.

2. DIEting.
Insert veggies here. Portion control may also be a struggle along with the Starbucks trips that will continue to be a thing.
3. Being less judgmental.
You'll try hard to contain your disdain for the North Face-Ugg combos and your local bro with the snapback, but they just make it so easy.
4. Put an end to your unhealthy Netflix addiction.
But the newest season of "House of Cards" is coming out...5. Drink less.

6. Raise your GPA.
Achievable, but are you willing to put in the work?7. Volunteer.
Helping others sounds like a great idea. Wait, do I get paid?
8. Ditching your dead-end job.
What does it mean now that our resolutions will be discarded? It means another year of your same old self thinking of what you could have been. Hopefully, that will encourage you to hold strong to your resolutions instead of to a box pizza and garlic knots.
