8 Types Of Annoying College Roommates

These are the roommates that will make your friends say, in response to your invite to come over, “I don’t know, is she gonna be there?” Some roommates are worse than others, but they all manage to annoy us in their own, unique ways. Whether you’re a girl or a guy, you’ve definitely dealt with at least one of them.

1. The roommate who can’t even be bothered to pick up her clothes, let alone the ramen she ate last week

This one is pretty self explanatory. Some people are okay with their roommates being messy, but when your room starts to smell like old food and laundry I’m pretty sure most people would say you have a problem.

2. The Neat Freak

This roommate is the opposite of the first one. They vacuum twice a day and always ask you to pick up your clothes. This one’s actually kind of nice to have around, as long as you’re not too messy.

3. The roommate who always eats your food and borrows your clothes without asking

Definitely one of the more annoying ones. There is nothing more aggravating than coming back to your room after being in class all morning and finding out your meatball sub you were saving for lunch has been eaten.

4. The roommate who is always sleeping

This roommate is annoying because you can’t have friends over to study at 3 p.m. without interrupting their nap… that is unless they’ve just been sleeping all day. And do you want to watch Netflix without headphones? Forget it, they’re sleeping.

5.The roommate who never offers to help with dishes or any cleaning

These roommates are the worst. If you don’t take out the trash, it piles up for weeks and she doesn’t even seem to notice. And it's not like you haven’t asked her a million times or there’s a note on the fridge or anything… the worst is that they’ll probably passive-aggressively text you asking you to do the dishes since they're out of town.

6.The roommate who’s constantly smoking weed and playing video games.

This roommate isn’t so much annoying as they are confusing. How do you do this and still go to class? Please, I would really like to know. The only problem with these roommates is when your RA comes to do a fire inspection and asks why there’s plastic bag over the fire alarm.

7. The roommate who is always messed up

This roommate can be funny unless it’s a Tuesday night and you’re studying for midterms while they’re shot-gunning beers. Yes, I would love to go out with you Friday night but no, I’m not skipping my midday lecture to go to a party. I once had a guy in my hall who was drunk for an entire week straight. This is the type of guy that brings beer to class in a coffee cup.

8. The roommate who always brings home a guy/girl, even during the week

Again this roommate can be funny, but enough is enough. We know its college and YOLO but just go to her room for once please. This roommate might even have a long distance boyfriend/girlfriend they always cheat on which is just not cool.

And if you’re reading this and haven’t had to deal with one of these roommates, then I’m sorry but you probably are that roommate

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
