Whether you spent your week in a faraway city, in the sun on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or just sitting at home on the couch, there is one thing we all have in common: we don’t want spring break to end. We got to be care free for a whole week. We can sleep until 12 or watch Netflix until 4 a.m. with no repercussions, or spend our days lying in the sand. Unfortunately for us it does end. We got just a taste of summer and now we have to get back to reality. So there you are in the car on your way back to school from a much needed break. You’re reminiscing on the memories of the week and how you wish you could just start the week all over again. However, you’re avoiding all of the realities.
1. You’re in denial and all you can think is “spring breaaaaaak!”
It’s not over until it’s over. Isn’t that what they say?2. "Is it summer yet?"
Spring Break is just a tease for summer. It gets you all excited for free time and no worries, and then bam you get hit with the last six weeks of school.3. “Well, I guess it is really over….”
You can finally admit it to yourself and accept that you have to leave.4. “It really was a great week”
Now, that you have accepted that you have to leave, you can think about how awesome of a week you had. This is when all of the funny moments come out that will soon be inside jokes for all of you who were on the trip, all of the cool sites you got to see, or if you stayed home for the week you can talk about how much Netflix you binge watched.5. “I spent way too much money!”
Spring Break is a money pit. You have to pay for somewhere to stay, all of the things you do, all of the food you eat. It doesn’t end. You probably have $0.63 in your bank account now, but let’s be honest though, it’s worth it.6. “No, no, no, no, no. I can’t go back.”
School is the absolute last thing you want to be thinking about after such an awesome spring break. When is summer, again?7. “Can someone write me an excuse for forever?”
I still can’t believe I actually have to go back to school. Maybe I’ll drop out. Maybe I’ll just take one more week. Help!8. *Cries because Spring Break is over*
Don't worry, though! It's just six weeks until summer!
