Your senior year of college is going to be a blur.

Regardless of who you are, or what your major is, this year is going to fly by. Soon, you'll be all done and people will be talking about fall semester starting back up and you'll be confused because all of a sudden... you don't have to register for classes. You no longer have to deal with financial aid. You can no longer use the gym on campus. Your ID card becomes nothing but a memory. Although the feeling is nostalgic and a bit overwhelming, I have a feeling you're going to be just fine. Before we start getting anxious over what is soon to be we should focus on the present. Think of some things you want to have done or accomplished by the time you say "I am a college graduate."

If you need some help thinking of ideas, here are 8 things I think you should do before you buy that cap and gown.

1. Don't skip your last college football season

This is the last chance you have to sit in the student section, for free might I add, and cheer on your team. There is no reason to miss out. Go out, have fun, and don't be scared to show some school spirit!

2. Use the gym

Giphy

It's the last time you're going to have a "free" gym membership. Don't miss out on that!

3. Make a real connection with a professor

Giphy

When you end up in the real world and it's time to apply for jobs and internships you're going to need some references. These references are by no means easy to find and it truly helps if you take the time to show a professor that you're dedicated and ambitious in your future endeavors.

4. Have more 'family' dinners

When you graduate and all of your friends go their separate ways you are going to want some memories from college to look back on. Of course, you are going to have memories, but these late nights together with your closest friends are going to be what binds you together later on when life gets in the way.

5. Take a technical writing class

Giphy

Whether it's part of your major or not, having the skills to compose and flawless resume and cover letter is truly a necessity.

6. Forgive people

Giphy

If someone wronged you, okay. If someone called you mean names, okay. If someone just decided out of the clear blue that they no longer wanted to be your friend, okay. The people that are good in your life, the people that bring positivity, are the ones that matter. Those are the people you will remember and stick around for so why spend time worrying on the negative people of the past? Let those who doubt you, encourage you to be a better version of yourself. Let those who are mean to you, motivate you to be nicer to others. Wish a happy ending on those who choose to push you out of their life. Forgive them because there is just no good reason to hold a grudge.

7. Leave a legacy

Giphy

Be someone who you want others to remember you by. Join a club, play some intramural sports, or be the friend you want to be remembered by.

8. As if it isn't obvious... HAVE FUN

Giphy

Don't forget to hit up that frat part or go downtown on a Friday. So soon there won't be time for it. No one is stopping you but yourself.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
