8 Things to Thank Your Best Friend For

1. Thank you for always letting me blow up your phone.

Whether it's 2 pm or 2 am, your best friend doesn't mind you casually sending 20 texts in a row. Most of the time, you usually will say pointless things, but other times you really need to vent.Your best friend is always ready to read and reply to the deep life questions you send or the silly rhymes you create. Thank you for never putting me on Do Not Disturb (if you actually do, its okay because I would too.)

2. Thank you for understanding and never judging my random food cravings.

You want Steak n' Shake at 4 am? She's down to go with you in a heartbeat. Can't decide what to eat for breakfast the next morning? Her advice never falters to speak directly to your inner food cravings. Fro-yo at 9pm? She's already on her way to meet you. Thank you for sharing my favorites with me.

3. Thank you for remembering what the song was that I liked.

"What's that song you played in the car by the girl and the guy who are dating?" Odds are that your best friend knows exactly what you're referring to, not matter how vague your description is. In addition to that, she's already prepared to show you other songs she knows you will fall in love with and jam out to with her. Thank you for not laughing when I mess up the lyrics.

4. Thank you for being proud of me.

Sometimes you feel discouraged when no one compliments you on the hard work you put in, but your best friend is always ready to notice and appreciate your effort. From school to contouring your face, she's going to be one the first people to tell you how proud she is of you. Thank you for making my hard work feel even more worth it.

5. Thank you for always knowing how to make me laugh.

Life can get pretty depressing, but one simple message from your best friend can turn tears from sadness into tears from laughter. She somehow always knows exactly when you need to giggle, even if you're in the middle of the library. Thank you for sending me funny Snapchats at the perfect time (and not yelling when I screenshot).

6. Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes.

Got a date? She's already handing you that shirt of hers that you love so much. Forgot pajamas? She already has some laid out for you. We all end up hating our own closets at one point or another, but she's got you covered with some fresh new ideas and wardrobe choices. Thank you for always letting me wear that shirt you love.

7. Thank you for understanding when I'm stressed.

Whether its a care package, a "You got this!", or a hug before an important event, she's there to help you through stressful times. In addition, your best friend knows that you may jump off the face of the earth for a few days during finals, but that you aren't intentionally ignoring her. Thank you for letting me take forever to reply to your texts when I'm busy with school.

8. Thank you for making me a better person.

Your best friend inspires you and gives you stellar advice. She's someone that is harsh when needed, but she will also be your biggest cheerleader and support system. Your best friend has qualities that you admire and respect. Thank you for being the truest person I know and never letting me give up on self-growth.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
