There are few bonds in this world that are closer than peanut butter and jelly, fries and ketchup, bacon and eggs--- and sisterhood, tops them all.

1. We travel together---always.

You can't really escape us. Even though we aren't always attached at the hip, you won't see us alone. Dragged to a dinner party? We will be there. Need to pick up some groceries? We will be there. Watching a movie? We will be there.

2. If she hates you, I hate you.

If you cross one of us, you will have a team of people after you for revenge immediately. We talk about everything, so chances are that she knows exactly what you did and where you live.

3. We share everything.

We share everything from clothes and food to our bathrooms and beds. Nothing is "mine" anymore, and even if you don't want to, you are legally obliged to share. Every item in your possession is hers, and vice versa. However, God forbid you get a stain on her dress, or you won't live to see tomorrow.

4. We have a policy of "100% honesty" (most of the time)

When we aren't lying about how her dress got ruined, we are completely honest. If that haircut is a catastrophe, she will tell you. If your smokey eye makes you look like a raccoon instead of Cara Delevingne, she will tell you. And sometimes the truth hurts, but she will always call you out on your mistakes and tell you how it is.

5. We are also expert liars.

When it comes to sneaking out, or hiding something from your parents, we always have each other's back. We know exactly what to tell our parents if we get caught, and a loyal sister will always take the fall for you.

6. Parenting sisters is tougher.

Even though it is an absolute joy to be blessed with two or more beautiful baby girls, when it's time to reprimand them---the task becomes difficult. When in a fight with one of them, the other one will protect her sister at all costs. You can't just fight one of us, you will have to deal with twice the drama.

7. We are each other's fierce protectors.

Like I said before, we will viciously fight for each other regardless of the situation. No matter whether you are the older or younger sister, it is your duty and responsibility to protect your sister from anything or anyone who tries to hurt her.

8. We share all losses and victories.

When I said we share everything, I truly meant everything. If my sister cries, I cry for her. If she celebrates, I celebrate for her. We are constantly proud of each other and even if we are several miles apart from each other, our telepathic abilities will let me know when my sister needs me.

Having a sister consists of constant ups and downs that will make you feel grateful for everything she has done for you. She's your built in best friend that's genetically required to never leave you alone or give up on you. My advice: be grateful for your sister and let her take as much food from your plate as she wants and as many clothes from your closet as she needs--- because you will truly never find anyone else like her.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
