In today's society money has become the center of everyone's focus. More people are revolving their lives around the aspect of money, and with that, comes problems. As money is an important part of living there are other things we should strive for. Here is my list of things we should strive for every day other than money.
1. Self-love.
Self-love should be the first priority for everyone. If we aren't happy with ourselves it will be difficult to be happy with anything in our lives. Make sure to constantly remind yourself of the love you have for yourself.
2. Relationship with Christ.
When you put your faith in Him nothing seems impossible, but creating a relationship first is vital. This is something you should strive for in your everyday life. Make time in your day to sit down and talk to God. Before you know it He will become your best friend.
3. Relationships with friends and family.
This should also be a top priority. You can't go through life alone so make sure to make time for the people closest to you despite the crazy schedules.
4. Take advantage of the opportunities we are given.
I think at times we tend to pass up many opportunities life throws at us because we are to involved in something easy that won't help us move forward in life. Start saying "yes" more!
5. Happiness.
This is just as important as self-love. They go hand and hand, actually. With self-love, comes happiness.
6. Experiences.
Whether it be to travel the world or volunteer we should do whatever we can for the experience! These types of experiences open the gates a whole new world!
7. A healthy lifestyle.
Strive to live a healthier lifestyle. By doing this you will become happier and learn to enjoy the finer things in life. It's as simple as saying "no" to fast food or choosing water over a soda.
8. To be free.
Make an effort to be free. Test your limits. Say yes to the wildest opportunities given to us. Make your OWN decisions. Don't live to please others constantly. Be free and love your life!
Take a leap and start finding other aspects of your life to enjoy. We tend to get too caught up with money and that creates problems in marriages, in the workplace and even within ourselves.
