Now I’m sure we’ve all had our fair share of bad relationships. They start out good and somehow they end up badly, or they just don’t end up happening at all, because today’s generation thinks that having a “title” or an “actual relationship” is overrated. So therefore you either are in a relationship with the wrong person and situations happen where you break up, or you’re pretty much stuck in what I like to call “talking purgatory.”
But what happens when we find the person that makes our whole world light up? They give us exactly what we want in every way, and in our eyes, they are perfect? That my friend, is called “the one.” Yes it seems scary and frightening knowing that you are going to invest so much into this person and give them so much unconditional love and vulnerability, but there’s certain signs (and they are pretty much in big bold capital letters or flashing neon lights) that will allow you to know you are in the right relationship. Personally, it took me long to figure out what a good relationship was, a lot of trial and error; but I figured it out, because I didn’t have to search for it. It happened naturally and the chemistry we have is astonishing. So when this happens to you or if it already is, let these be the reasons you know you’re in the right relationship with the right person:
1. Your significant other is not just your significant other, they’re your best friend, your partner in crime, your other half.
They are literally there for you with anything and everything… I mean anything, this could involve spontaneous licking fights, making random noises at each other, jamming out in the car to popular artists like Adele, venting to them about pointless drama, when you have to clean up nice and go to an event, or just your normal day-to-day relationship. Regardless they’re with you through everything. (Yes, even matching onesies if you want to go that far)
2. The moments you spend with them are never boring; even when you’re doing nothing.
Literally never boring, you could both be in complete silence and it will never be boring. He could be heavily involved in his video games or sports and you could be doing basic girl things like being on Pinterest or doing your hair and it will still never be boring.
3. You always have someone to go on adventures with.
They could be simple adventures like hiking to or mini golf, or they could be extraordinary adventures like to NYC; no matter the date, it’s always a new adventure for you to go on together.
4. You can bicker like an old married couple but somehow one of you still manages to end up making each other laugh and forgetting about whatever it was you were arguing about.
Sure couples have their arguments, most couples will fight and stay mad at each other for a good span of time. Other couples however, will do something to knock all the negative energy way, probably something funny so they’ll end up laughing and forgetting about the whole thing.
5. They’re your biggest supporter and source of encouragement… Even when you’re doing absurd and potentially dangerous things.
They’re always your number 1 fan, even if they can’t make it to your games that are extremely rough, they drive over to your house at 3 am just to make sure you’re alright after a rough night, they’re always willing to drive 40+ minutes on a daily basis to see you. They also encourage you to be a better person and to grow more everyday and they help you grow as you help them. They encourage you to follow your dreams. They will always treat you right and with the utmost respect, they won't ever do you wrong.

6. You consistently have the biggest butterflies and the insane, crazy, big smile when you see them.
Even though you see them on a consistent basis, every time you see them it’s like the whole room goes away and all you can see is them. It’s like the magic of going to Disney World for the first time or one of the many times. It’s like nothing you’ve felt before and you get all these crazy feelings inside.
7. You both surprise each other in some way almost every day of the week.
These surprises aren’t always materialistic, they can just be from the company of being with that person. They might act just as weird as you act, and it catches you completely off guard, but it will send you into absolute tears from laughing so hard. It can be the little gestures they do like kissing your hand or kissing you all over your face when you’re sad.
8. At the end of the day, no matter what, they’re going to love you unconditionally.
From day one, till the very last one. They will love you for who you are, whether it’s on your best days or on your worst.
While there are many signs to know that you're in the right relationship, the feeling and the chemistry will always just be there. It will just feel... Right.
