If you have a brother, you know how I’ve felt all my life. I grew up with a brother who is three years younger than me. Having a younger brother is like having another best friend. You have been through a lot together. You know each other's weaknesses, strengths, fears, flaws, and every habit.
As you both grow up, go to college in different towns, marry, settle down, and start families of your own, it’s important to remember why your younger brother will always be your friend.
There is no one else who knows you better
Your brother grew up with you. You both have secrets and inside jokes that no one understands but you two. He knows your obsessed with keeping everything clean and will probably make a mess just to annoy you.
He will always have your back
When a boy breaks your heart, your brother will be there to protect you. He will stand up to anyone and anything that gets in your way because nobody except him is allowed to pick on you.
He always makes you smile
He knows you laugh at the cheesiest jokes, so he makes sure to tell you them to make you smile.
He is your number one fan
He will always cheer you on, even though your talents may not always shine through.
He gives you advice
He will tell you what you are wearing is ugly and will give you his opinion on the boy you're dating. What he has to say may not always be the best advice, but he still cares enough to give it to you.
You feel comfortable around him
He has already seen you at many of your worst times in life, so by now you feel very comfortable around him. You know he will never judge you.
No one else understands your family
Through all the family vacations, arguments and memories, you and your brother will always be able to relate.
He will always love you.
Friends come and go, but your brother will always stay. No matter what happens, he will always be there for you. There is no better friendship than the friendship you have together.
Even though you two fight sometimes at the end of the day you can't stand not having him in your life. He has been there for you since day one, and will continue being there for the rest of your life. I can always count on my brother. He is my best friend.
