8 Reasons You Should Look Forward To Spring Semester
me

Although winter break is coming to an end, and the start of second semester is always the most brutal to begin, specially with the weather mocking us with it's abnormal changes. I'm going to encourage you to hang in there and finish strong because, it's all going to be worth it at the end of the semester.

1.Friends

Ok, ok -- I know that we are all sad to leave our family, our pets, the warmth of our home and moms famous cooking, but let's face it we are totally ready to get back to our friends and the late night conversations with the roomies. Home is always going to be where the heart is but I mean what is all the good when you don't have your college friends to enjoy it with you

2.Time Change

One of the most discouraging thing about winter, it's how fast it gets dark out during the day. The best part about spring is when we get to turn out clocks forward an hour, which means more sunlight during the day! What's more fun than having longer hours during the day to do things outside.

3.Spring Break

Need me to elaborate more? I know before we even left for winter break the plans had already started. Spring break falls perfectly smack in the middle of the semester when you're in desperate need for a break. So where are all the crazy new stories and memories going to be made ? Dominican Republic, Mexico, or Florida! You get to relax for one whole week in the semester without doing any school work.

4. Pool parties

Winter outfits are all fun and comfy, but let's be real, warm weather allow us to have many fun events, Such as our favorite pool parties and BBQ.All the cool stylish bathing suits comes out more flip flops are out and wild parties begin

5. Flowers

Spring is also when flowers and trees begin to blossom! Flowers bring such positivity into our environment, it gives us hope. After a long 4 months of just seeing ever greens in all their glory all winter long I'm sure you all would be excited to see everything come back to life!

6.Remember professors are People too!

Students return from spring break, hung over and ready for the semester to be over with. And I'm pretty damn sure your professors feels the exact same way, maybe not as hungover like you are but still... I hope you're getting the point. Here's a friendly reminder their lives does not revolve around school like we always think. They love having time off to enjoy themselves too. So please treat them with the outmost respect and try to do more then just appreciate them for bumping the grades, for giving extra credit or canceling classes.

7. Baseball Returns

For some of you diehard baseball fans, well don't worry April second is closer than you think. This means you get to see your favorite team play, there's games to go to every other day. I mean who isn't ready to rip their city. (Go Royals)

8. Summer Is Right Around the Corner!!

Without a doubt, the most promising thing to look forward to about spring semester, is that summer is right around the corner! There's a high chance that some of you all will be doing an internship a working over the summer but we can't argue with that when we have three months of doing nothing but going to work, having great weather and eating lots of ice cream.

Once spring semester starts we are that much closer to another year being behind us! There's just something about The sun, waking up to birds in the morning and open the windows that makes people happy. With that being said, I strongly recommend that we all try to do our best this coming up semester and finish strong. Saluer!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
