With the upcoming election, things are really starting to heat up. Debate season is in full swing and the first two between Trump and Clinton were definitely something to talk about. Some people laughed and found it to be a joke while others used it to help them decide who they really want to vote for. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I want to make it clear that this is mine. Here are eight reasons why I am not with her:
1. All Talk, No Action.
Hillary Clinton has been involved in the political scene for 30+ years and what has she done? When she was asked the question of what her biggest accomplishment was, she could not answer it. I will not vote for someone who has not taken action at any point in their history of politics.
2. Pro Obama Care
Hillary Clinton has said that she is for Obama Care on numerous occasions. The Affordable Health Care is not good for our economy what so ever. It has caused taxes to increase, which for a lot of middle class families, is devastating. Also, Obama Care has caused co-pays to increase, the coverages to decrease and almost impossible to get an appointment. It is an individual's responsibility to get health insurance if they so choose, not the government's.
3. Free College?
As a college student who is in debt with loans, of course the idea of free college is appealing; however, it is not attainable. Free four-year college is another thing that will just cause the taxes in America to go up. It will eventually lead to the downfall of our economy. Right now K-12 is essentially free for all and so many high school graduates take that education for granted and the same would occur for four year college students. Also, the value of that degree will go down and well paying jobs will diminish. Everyone complains that you need at least a four-year degree right now to be able to have a well paying job; the free college idea will make everyone need to have at least a six-year degree to do so.
4. Gun Control
Clinton has openly come out saying that she does not support the Second Amendment. The next four years could determine our right to bear arms. A lot of our Supreme Court seats are about ready to become vacant. One seat is already vacant and four more are getting at the age of retirement or may be deceased. The next President of the United States gets the opportunity to appoint those vacant seats of the Supreme Court. If Clinton becomes president she has the power to create a 7-2 majority where she will have them go after our Second Amendment. I would like the right to be able to protect myself. If our right to bear arms goes away, that doesn't mean that illegal guns will go away. And in that case, I deserve to be able to have a firearm to protect myself.
5. Girl Power
Hillary Clinton has used woman's rights and girl power as the fore-front of her campaign. However, it's 2016 and America. Women have just as many rights as men. Us women cannot play the victim card anymore. If you want to be payed more or what have you, speak up and prove it to everyone. Now some may say Trump demeans women and Clinton supports them. Here is my response: Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman say the same things about women as Trump said in a private conversation and everyone laughs and calls in empowering, Miley Cyrus dances dirty on stage and uses provocative language and famous rappers rap about doing disgusting things to women, how is that any different? Also, the Clinton foundation is funded by foreign countries that abuse the rights of women. How could you vote for the hypocrisy?
6. She Doesn't Wear an American Flag Pin
This may seem like a dumb reason not to vote for her. However, every candidate should be proud enough to wear the American Flag pin. It is the country that gave you the privilege to run for office. It is the country that gave you the right to say everything that you are running for.
7. Public and Private Positions Differ
A recent leak has shown that Hillary Clinton believes that she should have a public and private position. I can not vote for someone who is telling me one thing, but then when it comes to her being in office she could be standing for something completely different. I can not vote for the uncertainty of our future.
8. Her Emails
Enough said...
I understand that everyone may not be able to see where I am coming from and may just be subjected to their strong personal opinions. Try to keep an open mind. Hear all sides, do research and make your best judgement. I respect all opinions and I hope that you can respect mine as well even if they differ from your own.
