A mother is some who can take the place of all others, but who's place no one else can take.
1. She went through lots of pain to bring you into the world.
Moms go through months of carrying you around, and you're just chilling inside them. They then have to go through hours of labor to get you out. My mom had my brother naturally and me via c-section. She tells me that she would much rather do natural, because the c-section caused so much pain and left an ugly scar. I was also born over a month early. Sorry for being such a pain in the ass, even from the day I was born.
2. They give up a lot to take care of you.
Women have always been expected to stay home with their kids. They're the ones expected to take work off when you're born. They're the ones who have to pick you up from school when you're sick. They don't get as much time to just relax by themselves or with friends, because they're too busy making sure you're OK.
3. They have to put up with your attitude.
If you were like me, you probably gave your mom lots of grief during your teenage years. I usually thought she never understood or was just trying to make things tough on me, so I fought her. I sometimes still do, and she doesn't deserve it. She's been through the same stuff and she knows what she's talking about.
.
4. She worries about you every second of the day.
Whether you're a child or an adult, your mother is always going to worry about you. Tell her where you're going, who you're with and what you're doing. She only wants to make sure you're safe and will be coming home again. Some kids never did.
5. You can go days without talking to her.
Whether it's a text message or a short phone call, you should always take the time to call your mom. Ask her how her day is going, tell her you miss her and tell her you love her. It can make her whole day just to know that even though you're busy, you're thinking about her.
6. You forget that she has a life, too.
I've called my mom so many times freaking out asking for help, expecting her to stop everything she's doing, and she does. I forget that she has stuff she needs to be doing. Whether it's work, her own schooling, hanging out with her friends or just relaxing, let her do it! Step up, be an adult and let your mother live her life instead of pushing you through your own.
7. You're the reason she spends so much money.
I swear, moms are always looking for things to buy their children, whether you need it or not. It can be food, it can be clothes or gas in your car. Remember that your mom is paying for her own stuff, too. I get that we're the children and some of us don't have a real job yet, but if you don't need it, don't let your mom buy it!
8. You forget she's growing older, the same way we are.
If the previous seven reasons haven't been enough for you, then just remember your mom isn't going to be around your whole life. Moms grow older every day, just like their children. Your mom would give her life if it meant that you would keep living yours, healthy and happy. A mother will always put her child before all. Cherish every moment you have with your mom, because for some people, those moments are already gone.
