Anyone who has experienced those first-year-jitters as you walk into orientation or hear your alarm go off to signal your first day of classes has begun knows how life changing your freshmen year of college can be. But what happens after all the adrenaline rushes have worn out and you transition into your second year?
1. Your summer is much less stressful now that you know exactly what to shop for, what websites sell the cheapest books, and who your roommates are.
2. You have almost all of your boring, general requirement classes out of the way and you are taking classes that actually relate to your major.
3. If you were undecided on a major your freshmen year, you had all summer to think about your future and you are ready to officially declare a major.
4. You have already established a friend group so you don't have to worry about awkward first encounters and trying to make new friends.
5. You know which frats throw the best parties and which ones to stay away from.
6. You don't have to fret making it to class on time because you already know all the shortcuts around campus.
7. You look at all the scared freshmen everywhere and think just how happy you are that you're no longer a young college rookie.
8. Let's face it, there is no better feeling than going back to school after a long summer in your home town. Your campus is home sweet home.
