Every girl needs a best friend to love and support them. Here's eight reasons why you need a girl best friend ASAP:

1. We can give great advice.

As many people know, women tend to be on their A-game when it comes to giving advice. Maybe it's because we've all, at one point or another, felt the same way, or have experienced the same sort of situation. However, no matter the reason why, your best friend can give you flawless advice about your relationship, school load, stress level, the guy you've been crushing on for months and just about anything else - and if we can't help, we'll call someone who can.

2. We're emotional and in touch with our feelings.

All women are emotional (some more than others), but our understanding and compassion for other females' feeling upset, mad, happy, stressed and so on, helps us to better relate to each other. We'll always tell you the truth about your situation, even if it isn't good. Not to mention, we'll listen to you complain about your day and the guy that upset you with open ears, all day long. And let's be honest, when two girl best friends are emotional, the world better watch out.

No matter how emotional you may be, we're always down to be your shoulder to cry on, or to watch sappy, romantic movies with a tub of ice cream with you.

3. We make a great wingwoman, whenever, wherever.

There is countless reasons why your best friend is always going to be your go-to wingwoman. The main reason, though, is because on a dime-of-a-hat we can tell your "mystery man" (that we already know everything about - thanks to his social media accounts we have looked at thoroughly) every reason under the sun why he should go out with you. Not to mention, our previous hours spent checking his Twitter and Instagram accounts, as well as his friends' accounts, allows us to have a hand up on his interests, or any red flags that we may have found.

4. We are an instant plus one to any special event or dinner.

Having a girl best friend gives you a secure date partner to any event (literally, anything) on a whim. Whether you got invited to a party and don't want to go alone, have to go to an event and don't have a plus one, or simply need someone to be your dinner date for the night, we are your go-to. Not to mention, if you are on a horrible date, we can drop everything at once, and come to your rescue. You're welcome.

5. We like you no matter what AND we'll always tell you why.

Your best friend doesn't have any alternate, master plans for you to rule the day, so you have confidence that they're there to help you. In fact, your best friend is one of your biggest supporters, if not the biggest. On your good days, and even more so on your bad days, we will tell you how much we care about you. We'll even explain, in detail, all of your amazing qualities that anyone would be a fool to pass up.

We're basically your personal self-esteem builder.

6. We can write your texts for you (or just hit send).

One of the best things about having a girl best friend is when the guy you've been crushing on for months, finally talks to you, you can ask your best friend the monumental question of: "What do I say back?" and you're guaranteed an array of responses to pick from. Your best friend can even write the text message for you (or proof read your initial message), if you don't know how to word your feelings about a certain issue. Or we can just press "send" for you if you don't have the guts to follow through with a risky text.

7. We are you partner-in-crime for everything.

We are your go-to for everything, no matter the risk. Your best friend is the number one person to have your back at all costs. You share the same enemies and have codes names for everyone. In the case one of you is compromised, the other knows your password to your phone (and everything inside), and knows exactly where to look for important information. Your best friend is the first person you tell about anything and everything, and nothing gets posted on your social media without their approval. Even better, having a best friend who is your partner-in-crime allows for a second set of eyes everywhere you go.

8. We are your friend for life.

The best part of all: once you have us as a best friend, you're stuck with us for life. We won't go anywhere, and no matter how far the distance or how busy the schedule, we're always just a text or phone call away.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
